About Sheena
I ask too many questions. I write everything from scratch. I still cry a little when the vows are really good.
Different is good. Diversity is life.

I'm Sheena Lawrance — a registered civil celebrant based in Sydney, working across NSW from the city to Port Macquarie and beyond. I've been officiating weddings for couples who want something real: ceremonies that sound like them, feel like them, and leave their guests leaning forward in their seats.
I'm queer, I'm warm, and I'm completely up for whatever you're imagining. Big luxe ballroom? Yes. Private beach elopement? Yes. Whisky and papers at your favourite bar? Absolutely yes.

From first chat to the last word of the ceremony.
Every ceremony I write starts with a conversation — usually over wine, tea, or Zoom. Then I ask each of you to answer my questions separately. This matters more than it might seem. The gap between how you each remember the same moment — the first date, the proposal, the thing they do that drives you quietly mad — that's where the ceremony lives.
From there I write everything from scratch. No templates, no generic vows, no copy-paste. Just your story, in your voice, shaped into something your guests will remember.
